CAN Interface

With the introduction of CAN Bus technology on modern vehicles, finding the necessary connections required to interact with a vehicle chassis can be extremely complicated and time consuming. Many of the necessary outputs are no longer available as they are only present on the vehicles CAN Bus. The solution is to use a Carnation CAN Bus interface module that will either over come any issues you may encounter on vehicles with multiplexed wiring or at the very least simplify installations - saving time and reducing interference with OEM wiring harnesses. The Carnation CAN Bus interface interprets the CAN Bus protocols and translate it into signal outputs required when installing genisys or third party equipment.

The Carnation module can provide a range of different outputs making the interface the ideal choice for a wide range of specialist vehicle applications. The following signals are available:

The module is currently compatible with over 160 different vehicles and each interface comes complete with a USB connection lead so that the device can be connected to a PC, this not only enables installation engineers to configure units via their PC but enable future vehicle databases to be downloaded so that units do not become obsolete as new vehicles are launched or updated.
