No Small Task
05.03.11
Carnation Designs are delighted to announce that we have secured a deal with The Scottish Ambulance Service for 150 Frontline Ambulance Vehicles. These new additions to Europes largest Ambulance fleet will see the already standard genisys equipment installed in a brand new complete plug and play system designed by Carnation; The Dual Pod...

The vehicles will be based on Peugeot Boxer vans with the compact Dual Pod units sitting behind the front passenger and driver seats. The Pods offer true plug and play connectivity between the base vehicle and all of our pre and post battery equipment via our unique CANBus module and offers rapid installation at the point of build without compromising on vehicle funcionality.

Craig Hall, Sales Director of Carnation Designs, comented: "Dual Pod is another example of Carnation Designs' commitment to developing innovative solutions specifically for the emergency services sector. This unique system is a direct result of our in-depth understanding of the market, and its rapid development is a testament to the skill and dedication of our engineering staff in meeting those changing needs."

One small step for Carnation Designs one giant leap to the bar!
19.06.10
Well we have done it! 1 red hot sun, 2 men, 3 litres of water per day and 4 gruelling days...

Our last day was supposed to be the easiest with 15 miles to cover but by hell it was tough!! Most of the walking was on tarmac along the River Tyne and once we could see the bridges in Newcastle our minds started drifting as we thought we had conquered the wall - oh no, another 6 miles after that!!!

That said we did very well and made it to the finish by 4.00pm

We have also become minor celebrities on the walk as many people along the route had heard of 2 guys doing the wall in 4 Days. It is advised to take 7 - 8 days to cover the distance (in normal weather!)

So that is it... Until next year.

Thanks to everyone for the support, organising and general mickey taking and also a big thank you to all who have donated towards our chosen charities. If you have not done so yet please find a little time to help with any amount you can.

Thanks again Sir Edmund Wilson and Sir Ranulph Hall

Purgatory
18.06.10
If I was to think of one word to describe today it would be purgatory! I cannot begin to explain how exhausting this is on both the body and mind!!

We have pounded out 22 (very straight and parralel to the road) miles today in blistering heat, clear blue skies and no breeze whatsoever. I think we have climbed over (not vaulted!) at least 60 stiles not to mention the general gates and cattle grids etc.

However, like our feet, we have broken the wall. Our final leg takes us through the industrial heartland of Newcastle docks to our destiny in Wallsend. This is expected to be in the region of a very welcome 16 miles.

Champagne for everyone!

Craig Hall

Through the pain barrier
17.06.10
Well today we hit the wall proper. It was massively difficult walking but this was compensated by the stunning scenery and the historical nature of the wall. The sun beat down all day but we eventually found sanctuary and a cool beer for our labours.
