155 Frontline A&Es built around genisys
14.03.08
Over the past 6 months Carnation Designs and The East of Engalnd Ambulance Service have been designing a revolutionary new control system that will take Ambulance Power Management to a whole new level.

The design is to be rolled out on the East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust 3 year build plan which will be for 155 vehicles. These vehicles will be built by WAS of Germany.

Martin Mowle FCILT AMSOE AMIRTE, East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust comments... "The East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust has a long established working relationship with Carnation Designs Ltd with the use of its Phoenix system.

Working with Carnation engineers we have been able to design a bespoke system uniquely suited to the challenges and demands of todays A & E ambulance. Combined with Voice alerts, Visual LCD text readouts and numerous automated functions of the system, all of which requires less interaction by the operator and therefore making it easier for our staff to use, this in turn will enable our clinicians to focus on the delivery of high quality patient care.

Whilst the system in itself is very complex, genisys also offers us a more unsurpassed level of flexibility and control with the advantage of the ability to 'add on' if needed at a later date.
Given it's proven reliability and a robust system, genisys was a natural choice and progression for our latest A&E ambulance build."

Craig Hall of Carnation adds... "Carnation Designs Ltd are delighted to have been selceted as the Power Management System for this prestigious contract. The outcome that the users of these impresive vehicles will see is a real testoment to all of the hard work that both the East of England Fleet Team and the Specialist Design Team at Carnation have put in and it will certainly set a very high standard for future National Specification guided Ambulances".

genisys looks after The Adrenaline Junkie!!
16.07.07
genisys has been requested to control all auxiliary electrics on the support vehicle, which is to follow Jack Osbourne from London to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia in The Mongol Rally 2007. The equipment monitors and controls split charging as well as providing control and switching for all of the vehicles electrical equipment. Jacks vehicle will be somewhat lower spec as it has to get change from 1000.00 pounds sterling and the engine can be no bigger than 1000cc!!

The Mongol Rally 2007 starts on July 21st from Hyde Park and the aim is to travel a third of the way around the earth, from London to Mongolia via a plethora of countries most people haven't heard of.

Starting from London, the rally finishes in the Mongolian capital Ulaanbaatar around three weeks later. It's between 8,000 and 10,000 miles depending on the route Jack decides to take. To get to the end teams have in the past gone as far north as the Arctic Circle and as far south as Afghanistan on what can only be described as somewhat impassable routes. What happens to Jack between London, the deserts, mountains, bandits and wilderness is anyone's guess. In a normal year just over half the teams make the finish line in one piece.

See genisys and Jack on "Mongolia or Bust" which will be aired on ITV2 and MTV Europe in the near future.
