AA correct choice

Carnation Designs are delighted to announce that, The AA, the UKs largest breakdown provider, is installing genisys and a Carnation designs vehicle harness in all next generation roadside assistance and recovery vehicles. The AA has relied on Carnations Phoenix management system for its entire fleet since 2003. \"The AA fleet consists of almost 3000 roadside assistance and recovery vehicles and we normally replace about 1000 vehicles every year,\" explained Gary Evans, Fleet Engineer at the AA. \"The recovery vehicles are primarily Renault trucks and the roadside assistance vehicles are a mixture of makes that include Renault, Volkswagen, Ford and Vauxhall,\"
Gary continued. \"Having a separate power management system is important for our vehicles due to all the electrical items we have on board, from communications equipment, charging equipment and jump lead systems, to the beacons on the top, which have various different functions including day- and night-time flash pattern settings!\" With genisys we will also be able to incorporate a run lock system into our vehicles, which means drivers can remove their keys from the ignition but the engine will keep running.\"The run lock ensures that adequate power will be supplied to the amber lights, for example, without draining the battery. \"genisys is very compact and will be quick and straightforward to locate in various places around the vehicle; we can easily expand on the system as and when we need to,\" Gary concluded. \"I have seen genisys in operation in many Emergency Service vehicles and, having worked with Carnation for so long, I am confident the technology transfer will be a great success,\"
